Adopt A Brother Scholarship

The Calabar Old Boys Association – Toronto Chapter embarked on a very successful joint program with our beloved Alma-mater in Kingston Jamaica. The objectives of the Adopt-A-School Program are to supplement and reward students who have displayed exemplary academic and personal achievements.

The scholarship supports academically talented but economically needy Calabar students with a one-time award of $600.00 CAD.

The scholarships are funded by your donations and equates to a donation of no more than $1.64 CAD per day. You can donate in full to support a single recipient, or make a pooled contribution of any amount.

About the Scholarship

The program was launched in 2007 and so far we have guided 12 students throughout their academic life at Calabar High School. All have successfully graduated, save one, who is currently in his final year at Calabar. All students at Calabar are eligible for the scholarship. Candidates are identified by the Guidance Counselor’s office based on students’ academic achievement, economic needs and potential for academic improvement upon receipt of the scholarship.
